Donate TodayImagine Wolfe’s Neck without the vision of LMC and Eleanor Smith. In 1952, the future of Wolfe’s Neck Farm was formed by this simple statement:
“The Land spoke to us and told us what to do. All we could say was ‘Yes, Sir!’ We then built our farm to cultivate and preserve natural resources so people of all ages could appreciate them forever…”
Fifty-five years later, the Farm has evolved into a non-profit foundation whose mission was defined by the guidelines that the Smiths created to assure that their original vision would be held in perpetuity:
“To preserve open space, utilizing the land for agriculture, recreation and education.”
To that end, we come to you, our friends, neighbors and supporters, and ask you to make an investment in the future of Wolfe’s Neck Farm by contributing to the Annual Giving Fund.
In 2008, the Farm is again going to be the scene of new and enhanced opportunities in educational and recreational programs for you and your family. As we experience the wonders of the farm, woods and wetlands, we come to understand our place in the natural world: where our food comes from; the fragile nature of our ecology; and the beauty of Mother Nature. Taking time to relax and experience the unique qualities of the largest saltwater farm in New England can bring us a sense of wellbeing which is hard to find in this day and age.
“Just 10 minutes at the Farm brings us back to basics. We are immediately refreshed…we feel like we have been transported to a softer, less hurried world where we can take time to simply breathe.”

Unlike other non-profit farm organizations in New England, Wolfe’s Neck is open to the public 365 days a year for free. We are able to do this because of the generosity of our friends, neighbors, members, and everyone who shares our commitment to preserving this remarkable place for future generations.
