April Vacation is now full!
We invite kids in grades 3-5 to spend April vacation learning, exploring, and having fun at Wolfe’s Neck Farm!
April is an exciting time of year at the farm – animals prepare to return to pasture as the snow melts, and new lambs are arriving! Days on the farm start with barn chores and helping our farmers take care of our livestock. As weather permits, we will also explore Wolfe’s Neck Farm’s surrounding ecosystems.
As we explore the many concepts of farm life, we will encourage kiddos to explore why and how farms exist. We will take a hands-on approach as we explore, textile play with wool, ask questions of our farmers, and discover the dynamics of our barn and dairy herd. Specific activities or lessons may include:
- Exploring the life cycle of a cow and how a calf matures
- Discovering the variety of milk products that exist
- Felting and carding wool
- Preparing our gardens for spring planting
