Wolfe’s Neck Farm Summer Day Camp gives kids ages 4-14 an opportunity to explore, learn and play on our 626 acre oceanfront farm.
Kids spend their days learning in the barn and gardens, exploring the forest, marsh, and shoreline, playing games with new friends, and carrying out science experiments as well as many other hands-on activities. They learn how to grow food using organic methods, and take part in caring for our lambs, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, and more.
Older children also learn the basics of water safety, and climb into canoes to explore the shoreline and estuaries of Casco Bay (weather and tides permitting). In addition, while Farm Kids stay closer to our main campus, Farmward Bound groups spend Thursdays enjoying an overnight camp-out in a secluded part of the farm’s 4 miles of shoreline.
Our oceanfront nonprofit farm is located just 5 miles from downtown Freeport, L.L. Bean and I-295, and is a short 30 minute drive from Portland. Families from further away can enroll in our Camp & Camp Program, so the whole family can stay at our award-winning oceanfront campground while the kids are at camp (and enjoy the 15% discount, too!)
Summer Camp runs weekly from June 22-August 28, 2015 for Peapods, Seedlings, and Farm Kids, while Farmward Bound runs only select weeks. Please see individual program webpages for availability updates!
