Fall Festival - Saturday, October 13th from 10:00am to 2:00pm

fall-festival-4 Join us on our oceanfront nonprofit farm as we celebrate sustainable agriculture and the beauty and bounty of autumn in Maine!  We cooperate with local farms and organizations to provide farm and sustainability-focused activities and demonstrations. We also run pumpkin hayrides during the festival - take a tractor ride out to our pumpkin patch and pick your favorite pumpkin (hayride included in admission; sugar pumpkins cost $3.00).

ACTIVITIES AND LIVE MUSIC
Great family-friendly activities including apple pressing, nature art, face painting, pumpkin decorating and more.  Little ones love our haybale climb, tractor climb and the haybale maze in our animal barn.  We'll have live music, with a special appearance from Rick Charette! A favorite singer and songwriter, Rick Charette has been capturing the hearts and spirits of young and old alike with his delightful and inspiring children's songs. We're also excited to welcome Pretty Girls Sing Soprano, who graced us with their acoustic harmonies at our recent Harvest Dance.

DEMONSTRATIONS
We'll have demonstrations on composting, seed-saving and food preservation.  Watch Shelly Snodgrass on her spinning wheel, and traditional blacksmith Sam Smith will be showing us techniques that date back to the 19th century and beyond! This year we're excited to welcome Margaret Hathaway of Ten Apple Farm, farmer and author of book such as Living with Goats and Food Lover's Guide to Maine.  She'll be happy to sign your copy!

GREAT LOCAL FOODS
The Fall Festival also offers a selection of local foods, with flame-grilled burgers from Maine Shore Lobster Bakes, paninis from Petrillo's Restaurant, tasty treats from The Fresh Batch and more!  Green Bee Soda is bringing a selction of their tasty, natural Maine-made soda, and Kids Gone RAW will help little ones appreciate fresh, healthy foods!

ADMISSION
This is a great educational afternoon for families. The Fall Festival costs $6 per person or $20 for a family (family rate includes two parents and their children).  Sugar pumpkins are $3, and choose your favorite jumbo carving pumpkin for $10!  Members of Wolfe's Neck Farm receive 50% off a family admission (among many other great benefits).  Membership costs only $35/family per year - click here to learn more.
