About the Band:
Based in Portland, Maine, Cumberland Crossing was formed in 2008 as an offshoot of weekly bluegrass jams at the 317 Main Street Community Music Center in Yarmouth, Maine. The band consists of veteran Maine bluegrass player Ron Gallant (a founding member of the Jerks of Grass) on guitar, mandolin and lead vocals; resonator guitarist and baritone singer Bill Holden; banjo player, lead and tenor vocalist Skip King and bassist Erica Kingston.
Since its founding, Cumberland Crossing has gigged regularly, at venues including Blue, The Space Gallery and The Empire in Portland; the Liberal Cup in Hallowell; The Run of the Mill Brewpub in Saco; The Venue (Freeport) and the gone-and-sorely-missed Stagecoach Inn in Groton, Massachusetts. Festival appearances include Blistered Fingers and Henryfest.
