Our Farmward Bound campers gain a deeper and unique understanding of the farm and our surrounding ecosystems while working closely with our Livestock Manager, Livestock Educator, and Wolfe’s Neck State Park staff. Throughout the week, campers interact with our livestock through pasture rotation and herd management lessons, work with our Teen Ag crew, hike in the woods at Wolfe’s Neck State Park, learn coastal ecology while exploring our shoreline by canoe or kayak, and more. All of these activities will be based on the week’s micro-season. In addition, Farmward Bound groups spend Thursdays enjoying an overnight camp-out in a secluded part of the farm’s 4 miles of shoreline. Throughout the week, our staff focuses on building strong group dynamics and leadership skills while immersing campers in the natural world.
