Our 2017 JC application is open! Apply here.
Ages 15 to 18
Weekly from June 19-August 25, 2017
Junior Counselors (JCs) are an invaluable part of Wolfe’s Neck Farm’s Summer Day Camp experience and our educational team. We work with passionate, mature, and responsible young adults (at least 15 y/o) looking to work with children and flex their leadership skills.
Oh, and JCs are some of the coolest kids at camp. They bring fun while working hard as mentors to campers and growing into leaders. JCs spend their time at the farm in many dynamic roles, including helping set up activities, assisting Summer Educators, supporting campers, and being awesome! As a JC, you’ll also learn about sustainable agriculture, help campers with barn chores, and explore what leadership looks like with your JC cohort. You can also fulfill your school’s service requirements and build your resume. Central to growing your awesome-ness, JCs will workshop numerous leadership skills and qualities, including group dynamics, facilitation, integrity, and personal conduct.
This year there are some exciting developments in our JC program!
- The opportunity to earn a stipend
- Leadership training
- JC Campout (June 17th-18th)
Earning a Stipend
JCs are eligible to earn a stipend if they commit to at least 5 weeks of Farm Camp. The first two weeks of camp are on a volunteer basis (eligible for service hours) as a training period. After two-weeks of service, JCs exhibiting exceptional leadership will be considered eligible to earn a stipend. Click here to apply!
Junior Counselor Camp Out! (June 17th-18th)
We’re taking JC training to the max with an overnight camping trip at the farm! Packed with training sessions, stellar games, and food. Get to know the other JCs and meet Farm Camp staff!
Our JC program runs all 10 weeks of Farm Camp, and we’re looking for JCs who commit to at least 2 weeks.
