There is nothing more exciting than a child’s enthusiasm and wonder in the natural world.  We love engaging kids with the farm, forest, and sea.

We hope you will bring your child to Wolfe’s Neck Farm to explore together.  You can:

  • Explore the Forest: Take a hike, bird, enjoy a picnic, and visit the salt marsh.
  • Explore the Shore: Kayak, bike, walk, and look for life in the tide pools.
  • Visit the Barns and GardensSheep and goats and chickens, oh my! Turkeys and ducks and rabbits, too!  Veggies and fruits, herbs and flowers! Explore the gardens and barnyard here at the Farm.
  • Learn more!  We have gathered some great resources for you and your child to explore…find books, websites, and activities  just for kids to learn about the farm, forest, and sea!
  • Volunteer: Loads of parents and children volunteer together.  A favorite family-friend volunteer activity is working as “chore volunteers” in the barnyard.  Learn how you and your child can help care for the animals on a regular basis …and about other opportunities on the Volunteer page!

We also have an array of great programs for families, kids, and school groups.

  • Summer Camp, June – August: Learning, playing, doing, exploring. Every day at Summer Camp teaches kids to love and respect the natural environment.  We believe in encouraging children to learn by doing – even our youngest campers help to care for the animals daily!
  • Field Trips:  We offer engaging field trips for school groups, scouting groups, preschools, high schools, and everyone in between!  Check out our hands-on education programs for your child’s class or group.
  • Family Festivals:  There’s fun for the whole family at our Spring Celebration and Fall Festival.  These events offer animals, crafts, games, food, music, and more!

Contact us at or (207) 865-4469, ext. 103, for more information about our education programs for kids.  We hope to see you soon!
